So in an effort to be thrifty and as the excuse to use this fabric I've been dying to find an excuse for I decided to recover and repaint.
I found this fabric a few months ago in the clearance section at Joann's and the last time I went home I finally bought some for $3/Yard!! It is extra durable great for a seat thats going to get alot of use. For the first step, I pulled off the old fabric using the backside of my hammer on the staples (not fun at all) and then I used the old fabric as a template for my new.
I then used the staple gun to put on my new fabric. Only major advice for this step is dont tackle one side all at once if you are using a fabric with a design. I messed up the first cushion and had to redo it because the triangle was off center. So put a staple in each side, continue to alternate, and keep checking the other side.
I thought the fabric turned out great, but I just wasn't loving how the white fought with the tan of the fabric so I decided to repaint as well with some blue paint I already had that was almost a perfect match.
Halfway through I decided I probably should have been less impatient and sanded because the paint wasn't sticking very well (Skyy ^ agreed), but patience isn't in my nature so I forged ahead and decided I would just do two coats and hope for the best.
Love that fabric!
